Appropriately selected density of the foam prevents uncontrolled rotation of the foam plastic core without bonding it to the core. The advantage of this is the ability to disassemble the shaft to clean it, which is often used after posting structure in plaster elevation. On the foam density guarantees a structure effect on the plaster.
