Company History
IVO Software was established in 2001 in aim to enable close cooperation between the world of science and the world of bussiness. From the very begining we wished to design the products of new technology and make them widely available. On 1st August 2004 IVO Software got status of limited liability company. The Spiker 1.0 – Polish speech synthesizer is the first product wholly created by IVO Software. As a result of hard work and further research the customers could have met five versions of this programme, which were corected and innovated in every edition. IVO Software also produces the Speaker Mobile, a synthesizer which runs on a portable electronic devices (such as mobile phones, PDAs). It has been specifically designed to make handsets accessible to blind and visually impaired users. For this technical solution IVO Software was honoured by a medal in the „Gdynia bez Barier” Competition in May 2004. This prize is annually given to people and institutions which engage in helping people with disabilities. Getting experience in speech synthesizing methods IVO Software created a synthesizer IVONA that has intelligible voice and natural sounding-intonation. It is adaptable to work on a wide range of devices.The IVO Software crew has designed an application that enables blind and visually impaired people to use the Internet fully. The Intelligent Web Reader, that's the tool's name, had its premiere in September 2004.
